The Honor Committee is an organization that is compose by elite members of WORLDCOB from different parts of the world. This Honor commitee can be consulted in case if necessary, on issues related of World Confederation of Businesses. Our committee is constantly informed about activities and projects of WORLDCOB.
BBB Accreditation is an honor – and not every company is eligible. Businesses that meet our high standards are invited to join BBB. Businesses meeting BBB standards are presented to local Boards of Directors for review and acceptance as a BBB Accredited Business.
All BBB accredited businesses have agreed to live up to our Standards for Trust. Our Standards for Trust are a comprehensive set of policies, procedures and best practices focused on how businesses should treat the public – fairly and honestly in all circumstances.
BBB is the resource to turn to for objective, unbiased information on businesses. Our network of national and local BBB operations allows us to monitor and take action on thousands of business issues affecting consumers at any given time.
Launched in July 2000, the UN Global Compact is a both a policy platform and a practical framework for companies that are committed to sustainability and responsible business practices. As a leadership initiative endorsed by chief executives, it seeks to align business operations and strategies everywhere with ten universally accepted principles in the areas of human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption.
Through a wide spectrum of specialized workstreams, management tools, resources, and topical
programs, the UN Global Compact aims to advance two complementary objectives:
Mainstream the ten principles in business activities around the world
Catalyze actions in support of broader UN goals, including the Millennium Development
Goals (MDGs)
WORLDCOB is a DUNS Registered company. Dun and Bradstreet provide credit information on businesses and corporations. They have assigned identifiers to over 150 million companies globally and build company profiles including company history, financials, and credit terms, among other key factors. The World Confederation of Businesses has joined the U.S. Chamber of Commerce as a Signature Association in order to promote its objectives for its members. The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is the world’s largest business organization and it represents the interests of over 3 million businesses, most of which are small businesses. The Chamber is one of the top respected organizations in Washington and fights for free enterprise before the government.
As better-than-expected economic data boosted investor morale this week, the greenback lost some of its luster, falling against a basket of currencies.
U.S. companies modestly added jobs in August, easing concerns that the nation might slip back into a recession. The latest jobs report released by the Labor Department today is better than expected. Employment in the private sector rose by 67,000 payrolls, after a revised 107,000 increase in July that was more than originally estimated. The report immediately sent stocks rallying, despite the fact that overall employment dropped and the unemployment rate climbed to 9.6% from 9.5%, as more people actively searched for jobs.
